How they train for the certificate

The equine staff of All Creatures Great & Small, LLC are currently taking part in an internationally recognized certification process through the British Horse Society, The Horse Owner’s Certification. 

 This educational opportunity is very unique as there is only one instructor.  Louise Jordan-Beam BHSAI, is authorized by the British Horse Society to present this training in the United States. The educational skill levels (Level 1 – Level 4) are tested from the basic skills required to care for a first horse through the skills set required to become a professional rider or a professional barn manager.  Each skill is tested and proven.  The tests are mailed to England for scoring.  Upon receiving a passing score they are returned to Louise along with a signed certification. 

All Creatures staff is compiled of equine owners, riders who are highly skilled in the care of these beautiful animals.  Each employee brings special talents and skills that range from barn management to Internationally Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapist.  The BHS Horse Owner’s Certification course will hone their skills and balance their knowledge. (To fill any gaps from prior training). 

All Creatures Great & Small, LLC is very progressive and provides a unique continuing education program to improve the quality of their pet sitters.  All employees must become certified in Pet First Aid within the first few months of employment. They then can specialize in a discipline of particular interest.   These currently include avian, canine and equine.
